I can’t believe it’s almost February; January has flown by. Mr Mouse and I decided that trying make any diet/exercise changes in a month where the main priority is to not give in to the temptation to stay in bed and hide from the world was fairly pointless, so our ‘New Year’ starts tomorrow, with an attempt to shake the belief that we need to eat enough to sustain us through a winter hibernation. Much easier now that we’re theoretically a month closer to Spring, right? Right?
Here are five happy things that have happened in the last couple of weeks:
- Mr Prickles the hedgehog has made a reappearance in the garden. We’re hoping that he was on the hibernation equivalent of Nigella’s midnight trips to the fridge, and that he’ll go back to sleep for another month now.
- We found some Cath Kidston pillowcases with London buses on in TK Maxx for mere pennies. Gotta love new bedding.
- I’ve started to get my reading mojo back and am looking forward to getting stuck into some new books – especially the Maggie O’Farrell proof that Marple is guarding in the photo.
- Remembering that I saved this marvellous pair of new socks from Christmas for a miserable January morning.
What happy happenings have you had lately?
